Dr. Jeny Potter has spent her career helping teams and individuals work through transitions. She has been a people and operations manager for 15 years, and understands what it takes to stand up up a new organization and to lead one through major changes. Jeny has a knack for honing in on what individuals needs to succeed during change, and what will enable a new team to thrive on the other side.

Dr. Potter is currently a part time lecturer in the at the University of Washington and the Director of Rowing at the Green Lake Small Craft Center. She spent 20 years as an engineer and manager at Boeing, and a short stint before that as an engineer in the automotive industry. Jeny holds engineering degrees from Purdue University, Michigan Technological University, and the University of Washington. She earned her doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California, focusing on actions first line managers can take to increase a sense of belonging in their employees.

Jeny (Jen) spent 12 years in management at Boeing, with varying people management roles overseeing engineers. Half of that was spent in Test & Evaluation, leading the Noise & Vibration Labs in both ground and flight testing. She spent a few years as an Operations Manager in Kent bringing the Space Center back to life, and led the Assembly, Integration, and Test team in the first major program in decades. She finished her career in Phantom Works overseeing a team of Operations Analysts and providing strategic decision making information to internal Boeing customers and external government customers. 

Dr. Potter has taught courses in management, organizational strategy, an accessible design for undergraduates and graduate students. She’s also facilitated sessions in Boeing's Leaders Teaching Leaders, the company's training program for new managers. Additionally, she has been teaching and coaching rowing for nearly 20 years to everyone from middle school students to septuagenarians, and training both high school and adult teams to compete internationally.

Jeny has two rescue dogs from Afghanistan, and a cat who is not impressed with said dogs.
